Juan Pablo Zaramella was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1972.Graduated at the Instituto de Arte Cinematografico de Avellaneda as Animation Director, he began his career making animations for advertisement.In 1998 he started to work as an illustrator and graphist for Clarín newspaper. Some of his works there have won several international awards from SND (Society of News Design) and Malofiej (Spain).Since 2000, Juan Pablo has been making independent animated shorts with the producer Silvina Cornillón. These films have been awarded prizes all around the world.His short film Journey to Mars, made in collaboration with the scriptwriter Mario Rulloni, has already won more than 50 prizes around the world.His last independent film is Lapsus.
